You'll join the AI team and work on real production problems. Depending on your strengths and interests, you'll contribute to areas such as ETA prediction, recommendation, semantic search over our restaurant and dish catalog, and our Arabic-language generative AI work.

What You'll Do

• Explore and analyze operational data using SQL and Python (numpy, pandas)
• Help engineer features, train, and evaluate ML models (e.g., ETA prediction, recommendations)
• Contribute to generative AI pipelines: embeddings, retrieval, ranking, and hybrid (keyword + vector) search
• Run experiments, measure results honestly, and present findings to the team
• Build dashboards and reports that turn data into decisions

What We're Looking For (Must-Have)

• Solid understanding of core ML and data science concepts: bias-variance tradeoff & overfitting, cross-validation, drift detection, and evaluation metrics
• Working knowledge of Python (pandas, scikit-learn or similar) and basic SQL
• Good fundamentals in statistics and probability
• Curiosity, ownership, and clear communication in Arabic and English

Nice to Have

• Basic familiarity with Generative AI: LLMs, prompting fundamentals, and RAG
• Understanding of embeddings, vector similarity, ranking, and hybrid search
• Exposure to tools such as Elasticsearch, vector databases, or PyTorch
• Git basics, plus any personal, academic, or Kaggle projects you can show

Internship Details

• Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of a full-time offer for strong performers
• Mentorship: you'll work directly with senior AI engineers on production systems
